Routine Oral Cancer Screenings

Coming in for a regular cleaning is your first line of defense against oral cancer. Because we use, and wound, the soft tissue of your mouths often, even as easily as biting the inside of our cheek, oral cancer is often ignored. Going undetected, the cancer can spread to other areas in your body, damaging your teeth, gums, and jawbones along the way.

During your examination, we check to make sure we’re not seeing any abnormalities, mouth ulcers, swelling, or signs of infection. Any sore in your mouth that has lasted for longer than two weeks should be examined.
