During this step, we’ll discuss treatment options and ask questions about your oral hygiene and lifestyle habits. Dr. Murphy will be able to determine if you are eligible for Zoom teeth whitening with this information.

The Teeth Whitening Procedure

Now, we’ll prepare your mouth for whitening. First, your dentist will cover your lips and gums, exposing only your teeth. The dentist will then apply the Zoom whitening gel and the Zoom whitening light.


Together, they penetrate the stains and discoloration of your teeth for over 15 minutes. Then, this procedure is repeated twice more for 45 minutes.

Aftercare

Following the procedure, your doctor will send you home with instructions and a take-home touch-up kit with a whitening gel. 


Your doctor may also recommend avoiding certain foods or consuming them in moderation. Tobacco products are also cautioned against, as they can stain teeth, even after whitening treatments.
